The most recent release of ActivEdit v2.5 empowers Web developers and integrators to enrich clients Web publishing capabilities with the newest technologies to automate the content management process. July 12, 2001, Syracuse, NY - NETDesign, Inc., one of the very first producers of dynamic Web management solutions, dating back to early 1995, released a ColdFusion version of its award winning Activedit v2.5. Activedits time proven popularity has been documented by peers in the development community all over the world. The most recent "Readers Choice Award" recognized CFDev and Activedit with the "Best Custom Tag" and "Best CF Development Firm" for NETDesign Inc., parent company to CFDev. The Activedit client base spans the globe. The software product is purchased by very large firms and very small. Activedits very familiar Microsoft Word-type interface ensures a very easy point-and-click interface. Activedit, purchased mainly by developers at third party companies, provides developers with the ability to embed a HTML editor into a Web page and save the generated HTML into a database, file, email, etc. The tool functions like a HTML text area inside a form. One new feature of Activedit 2.5 is the spell checker. This feature is also made possible by a tag of CFDev, "ActivSpellCheck". The spell check tag is also available via CFDev and the Allaire exchange.
